Description
Designed to introduce new riders to the experience of therapeutic riding.  This 3-week program will allow the rider to touch on the fundamental elements of riding and working with horses. Research shows that modified riding provides challenged individuals the opportunity to develop stronger self-confidence, self-regulation and coping skills so they can better deal with anxiety, anger, frustration or lack of attention. A group of four participants will ride together for 3 modified riding lessons which will give them and their families an introduction to the benefits of the program, experience animal bonding as well as offer socialization opportunities amongst the participants and our staff and volunteers.
Cost
COST IS $20 PER CHILD (covers all three weeks)
Potential Programme is offering this event at a reduced cost to individuals with ASD

* NOTE: Families are welcome to choose either Saturday July 28 OR Sunday July 29 to attend the event. Please do not attend both.

Grey Bruce Family Picnic - Storybook Park

Families are welcome to stay and enjoy the park for the entire day
Families are invited to come out and enjoy the rides, slides and zoo animals at the family picnic, pizza, veggies, salads, fruit trays, drinks (We cannot provide gluten free products)
Families are asked to bring their swimsuits and towels since there will be access to the water slides.
Feel free to contribute a salad or dessert.  Pizza, salads, veggies and fruit will be provided!!'
