Open to Parents/Caregivers of children with ASD
Parents/caregivers of children who have Autism will receive vouchers for 2 people for dinner at Park House Bar and Restaurant and movie passes for the Park Theatre
Vouchers must be used no later than June 30, 2018
Vouchers are non-transferable and have no cash value
Two people can enjoy time together and a break from the responsibilities of caregiving at a date and time of their choosing (must occur before June 30, 2018)

$15 per couple

Families are welcome to tour the museum as there are many great exhibits but we anticipate that the Steps to Stardom exhibit will be very popular.
PLEASE NOTE:  The museum will be opened to the general public at this time but it is anticipated that the 10:00 am time slot will be a quieter time period.

Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) trials - Stratford

Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) Trials 
5 families will be assigned individual half hour “Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) trials”.  (space is limited)
If you are a parent of a child with ASD who is not currently communicating 
  • using spoken words
  • using an Augmentative Communication System (example: sign language or a voice output device)
  • and not currently receiving individualized services
We invite you to register for a 30 minute session to explore the use of visuals to teach your child that they can make requests.  The session will include 1:1 attention from a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst overseeing a PECS Facilitator. The session will provide your child a variety of enticing communication opportunities so during registration please identify any food allergies or food restrictions. As a parent, you will be included in the trials by directly observing and/or participating with your child during the PECS trails. Each participant will leave with information about the use of PECS.
